Yakine State used to be a very peaceful place wit many wonderful beaches. One of them is Nga Pa Li, I visited it with my friends couple years ago. We had great time there.

It was in one evening when I came back from my office. The heavy rain has just stopped but still having small rain drops so I walked a bit fast. When I reached to the corner the road where I live, I saw two little boys squatting between two cars which parked in front of a cold drink shop. They were eating something on the road between two cars. Curious and had closed view, I saw bigger boy about 7 years old and smaller boys about 4 years old were drinking clear color soup in a plastic bag. When the older one was drinking it directly from the plastic bag, the younger one was watching patiently. The elder brother carefully put the plastic bag near the mouth of the younger brother to give him his turn. This is one of the usual heart aching pictures we can see in Burma. I took out 1000 kyat note and gave it to them. I also asked what else they want to eat. The elder one pointed out to the bread shop. I bought two bag of breads each costed 300 kyat. The children were happy as if they won a lottery. Just spent 1600 kyat but I could make the children very happy at least for that moment. It is possible only in Myanmar. It is too cheap to buy happiness for poor people.

After long time

I am glad to see my old post and a bit sad to know my last post was 2011. I was so busy all the time. I will start writing here again.

It has been a while

Almost two years passed since I got back to Myanmar. I am wondering what I have achieved in these period. I wished I could have done much. I think more seriously about the meaning of life. What is it? What is the most important thing in life?

A story of a 100 US Dollar note

I use Internet for so many evil things. But once I used it to raise money for a little poor girl who need to undergo operation for a nasty condition. Encouraging, I got a lot of promises from friends near and far to help the girl. I was so happy.

Some of my friends are in foreign countries so it is difficult for them to send money to our country which is very much isolated. Since the banking systems are not working well. The best way to transfer money is through personal channel.

One of my friends sent some money. I don;t know how many people she needs along the road. I got the open envelope with money finally. I found that the 100 USD is an old note from CB series. I feel sorry. I cannot tell for sure but I am almost sure that someone along the road changed the note. Well it is donation from someone. Nobody can know who did it. But you know what you did and it is not much different from stealing.

Note: Local exchange rate for Old US dollar notes and notes from CB series are much lower than new notes.

Well. St. Augustine changed his way of living as a sinner because of a sentence he heard so many times. But I learnt it can be offensive to some people.....

100 years old

Do you want to live up to 100 years or more? I think I will say yes if I am healthy. Here are two people whose ages are over 100 years. Amazing...and i think it is special blessing of God to them.

I pray for my mother to be healthy and live more than 100 years.
